Mike’s music journey began early, learning piano and Guitar by ear. In high school, he was accepted by the Los Angeles Hamilton Academy of Music, followed by a 4 year scholarship to Berklee College of Music, where he studied guitar, composition, and music synthesis. Returning back to Los Angeles, he launched his career as a sound designer at Soundelux in Hollywood, where he created the Oscar-nominated sound design for John Woo’s FACE/OFF. The experience of working alongside legendary directors and composers—including John Powell—sparked his evolution from sound to score.

Mike’s cinematic career began with original songs for Oliver Stone’s Any Given Sunday and the Grammy-winning soundtrack for Sony Pictures and Jim Henson’s Elmo in Grouchland. He has since scored a wide range of films including Unbeatable Harold (starring Henry Winkler) and Magic Laptop (starring Snoop Dogg), consistently blending live instrumentation with bold, contemporary textures.

A hands-on composer and multi-instrumentalist, Mike plays guitars, bass, drums, percussion, and keyboards, while also commanding an arsenal of analog synths and custom music software. His hybrid approach merges classical sensibilities with experimental production techniques, resulting in music that is both innovative and emotionally grounded.

Mike works with top-tier orchestras around the world—including the Hollywood Studio Orchestra, Seattle Sinfonia, London Philharmonic, and Bratislava Philharmonic—recording in legendary studios such as Skywalker Sound, Abbey Road, Warner Brothers, Capitol Records, and Larrabee Studios.
